When Sophie Fleming first joined The Athena Network as a member, she never imagined it would become the cornerstone of her career — and her life. But when the former Regional Director of North London announced she was moving in a new direction, something sparked within Sophie.
Curiosity
“I was immediately curious about the opportunity,” Sophie recalls. “I wanted something with an extra income to run alongside and promote my existing business. Looking for something enjoyable, fun and straightforward, I also wanted to use my natural skills and abilities.”
After taking time to do her due diligence, Sophie decided to invest in the franchise opportunity. She became the new Regional Director for North London.
Eight years on…
Fast forward eight years, and Sophie now leads vibrant, successful groups in Hampstead & Primrose Hill, Muswell Hill & Finchley, and St John’s Wood. She’s built a strong, supportive and consistent membership community of like-minded women who come together to connect, grow and thrive in business.
“It’s truly life-changing,” she says. “I can’t imagine doing anything else.”
But Sophie’s Athena journey didn’t just transform her professional life. It touched every part of her world. Through her networking efforts, she met her partner, and they now have two young children. She took two maternity leaves, knowing that The Athena Way would ensure her region and members were in safe hands.
“I’ve been able to shape a business around my family, rather than the other way around,” she says. “That kind of flexibility is priceless.”
And Sophie’s message…
Her advice to other women considering an Athena part-time franchise business opportunity?
“Definitely have a look at the business franchise opportunity. It’s been life-changing for me. There are so many opportunities that come your way, just from the women you meet and from the income you earn. It’s a fun and rewarding business.”
