Lorraine Croome – Connection, Confidence & Championing Others

There are some members who quietly and consistently lift the whole room.  Lorraine Croom is one of those women.

A proud member of the Athena Dorset Region, Lorraine embodies the very essence of The Athena Way: generosity, connection, advocacy, and heart-led business. She is someone who instinctively thinks of others, champions women around her, and shows up with warmth, humour, and unmistakable presence often accompanied by a purple wig and the occasional burst of song!

Lorraine describes Athena as “the best” and her actions reflect exactly why. Whether she’s actively collaborating with fellow members, investing in her own growth, or supporting the wider Athena community, Lorraine brings curiosity, commitment, and joy to everything she does.

Growing with Confidence & Intention

Over the past three years, Lorraine’s journey within Athena has been one of visible growth, not just in her business, but in her confidence and personal brand.

She has embraced opportunities such as PASS+, attending events beyond her local region, deepening relationships, and becoming a familiar and fondly thought-of presence across the network. Most recently, this was beautifully reflected at our LEGACY event, where her warmth and impact were felt the moment she walked into the room.

As her Regional Director, Natalia DaCosta, so perfectly shared:

Lorraine doesn’t just participate, she actively contributes. She speaks openly about how Athena has supported her and is always quick to recommend, collaborate, and celebrate other women.

From working with fellow members like Holly Wagner on promotional video content, to undertaking Discovery Call and Workshop training with Henriette Danel, Lorraine demonstrates what happens when women genuinely support women — and when business is built through relationship, not competition.

She shared:

“So many amazing ladies to connect with, make friends with, and help each other. I’m really grateful for the safe environment you have created for all of us.”

That sense of safety, belonging, and encouragement is something Lorraine not only appreciates she actively helps to create it for others.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a Lorraine spotlight without mentioning the fun. Whether she’s delivering her Monthly Minute with flair, breaking into song, or taking song requests at Festive Nifty Networking® (yes, really!), Lorraine reminds us that business doesn’t have to be serious to be successful.
