Why Holly Almost Said No

Why Holly Hesitated

Before becoming an Athena Franchisee and Regional Director, Holly managed Warwickshire groups,
hosting vibrant meetings where members’ businesses thrived. Her warmth, energy and dedication
consistently attracted new members.

Holly loved the flexibility and independence her role gave her. She was worried that franchise
ownership might feel restrictive. So, for a time, she said no to becoming an Athena franchisee.

“I didn’t want to lose the freedom I’d worked so hard to create. The idea of franchise ownership felt…
limiting,” Holly recalls.

A Change in Perspective

On 8th December 2023, Holly reached out to Athena Founder Jacqueline Rogers. After reflecting on
her first year and the income she could generate, she could see that The Athena Way proven business
model allowed her to be herself.

On 1st January 2024, Holly became an Athena franchisee – and the results were immediate.

A Remarkable First Year

Holly’s Stratford launch was a hit. Members signed up before the event had started! She even had to
turn away potential members due to over-subscription.

By February 2025, she had launched two more groups, with membership seats selling out thereby
creating waiting lists. In July 2025, Holly was celebrated in the “Athena 100 Club” for franchisees
achieving 100+ members – a milestone marked with a London theatre trip.

Leading Success—Her Way

Today, Holly leads six Athena groups in South Warwickshire, combining The Athena Way with her fun,
engaging personality. Her Athena franchise region has brought predictable income and personal
rewards. She has even treated herself to a brand new car!

“I love that my success brings joy to my family as well. It’s been life-changing,” Holly says.

However, by embracing opportunity, support, and her own leadership style, she’s now a shining
example of what’s possible when passion meets opportunity.
