Meet Claire Newell
I joined the Athena Network as a member in 2008 when I first became self employed. Excited and also nervous, I went to my first Athena Network meeting and never looked back.
In 2010, I purchased the franchise for the North East Oxfordshire Athena Network region as I loved everything that Athena stood for. It had such a positive impact on not only my business, Body ReNewell Health and Wellbeing, but who I am as a woman.
People often hear me say, ‘I wouldn’t be the woman I am today, had I not been part of the Athena Network’ and I am so grateful and privileged to be surrounded by such a wonderful community.
With a background in the Health and Wellness industry, and having grown a successful therapy business through word of mouth, I appreciate the importance of building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, contacts, suppliers etc. Building a conscious network I believe is key to success and supporting members to achieve this themselves is what I love to do.
Supporting members to make connections that will result in business and personal growth along with helping them to become confident networkers, with a Network Strategy that is in line with their vision and objectives is what I strive to achieve.
Our Online group meetings mean that there are endless opportunities to meet and connect with other professional Business Women, who like you, are committed to their business and want to build strong, reliable, authentic business relationships.
Being online also allows our members so much freedom to virtually travel and be part of another group meeting with the use of PASS+. It also means that we can access valuable expertise and for those members who love to speak and deliver value packed training sessions, they are no longer restricted by location.
I also host monthly face to face Informal Networking events for our members which are more relaxed and really support the growth of the relationships formed online.
Our members become each others Walking, Talking, Ambassadors, and being part of a group not only feels like you have your very own Board of Directors that can support you in achieving your goals, they also genuinely want to see everyone succeed together and generously share knowledge and expertise between themselves.
In November 2021, I joined forces with the fabulous Anna Atkins-Carter to co-manage the West Chilterns Region and together we host Aylesbury, Tring and Berkhamsted groups every month, along with face to face events.

Berkhamsted meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 12 – 2pm (excluding August & December)
Banbury & Bicester meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 12 – 2pm (excluding August & December).
Oxford City East on the 4th Thursday of the month from 12 – 2pm (excluding August & December).

Membership is only £565 per annum*.
We can provide a payment plan that would include an upfront payment of £325 and a monthly subscription of £20.
*NOTE: You are committing to a 12-month membership.
Membership of The Athena Network will give you access to all of our membership benefits including PASS+ which means that you can currently attend 150+ meetings (at no additional cost), Cappuccino Connections (informal networking), an extensive training portfolio and all the connections within our network.

PASS+ IS YOUR GATEWAY TO ALL OF OUR MEETINGS
PASS+ gives you FREE access to an Athena meeting, there are no additional fees to be paid and this is another benefit of membership. You are encouraged to visit as many other meetings as you have time for (please ensure that you have sufficient time to follow up from your meetings).
We have launched in Australia, Denmark and Singapore and more International group launches are planned. What that means is you will also have access to those meetings. You could say that we have meetings 24/7. If the time zones work for you then your options are UNLIMITED.
ALL of this is included in your annual membership. Our usual meeting guidelines apply, which means there will be no professional clashes at the meetings, and the Regional Director/Ambassador will manage the dynamics of the mix of industries to ensure that everyone attending has an outstanding experience.
