Meet Kate Cherry
After a 15-year career in the financial sector, I have run networking groups in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire for a number of years after shifting my focus from corporate life to my own business success and my family.
I LOVE being a connector and introducer for those looking for each other’s services and building networking confidence in others. Personal development and connecting with like-minded people were key to my success in my businesses.
In 2024, I won an award for Best Networking Group at the national Best Businesswomen Awards, of which I’m very proud, it’s a true reflection of our entire community and team.
We are the average of the 5 people we spend most time with and as one of my members says “Athena ups your average”!
One of my favourite quotes, from Henry Ford, is “Whether you think you can, or whether you think you can’t, you’re right” and I actively help fellow entrepreneurs to appreciate that they already have in them what they need to succeed.
Everyone is entitled to greatness, and everyone has something of value to share.
GROUP INFORMATION
I manage two territories of the Athena Network: Bedfordshire and Mid Hertfordshire.
I launched the Bedfordshire region in early 2017, and Mid Herts in early 2020.
Our groups are popular, dynamic and vibrant, where you can be assured of excellent business connections, to meet local business women and step out of the isolation so many female entrepreneurs can feel.
All of the members pride themselves on the strategic connections that they have created, collaborating with each other to create new projects and services.
Bedford meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 12 – 2pm (excluding August & December)
Welwyn-Hatfield – will meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 12 – 2pm (excluding August & December)
St Albans meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 12 – 2pm (excluding August & December)
South Bedfordshire meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 12 – 2pm (excluding August & December)

PASS+ gives you FREE access to an Athena meeting, there are no additional fees to be paid and this is another benefit of membership. You are encouraged to visit as many other meetings as you have time for (please ensure that you have sufficient time to follow up from your meetings).
We have launched in Singapore and more International group launches are planned. What that means is you will also have access to those meetings. You could say that we have meetings 24/7. If the time zones work for you then your options are UNLIMITED.
ALL of this is included in your annual membership. Our usual meeting guidelines apply, which means there will be no professional clashes at the meetings, and the Regional Director/Ambassador will manage the dynamics of the mix of industries to ensure that everyone attending has an outstanding experience.
