Meet Anna Atkins-Carter
Hi! I’m Anna Atkins-Carter, and I’m completely hooked on The Athena Network!
I just LOVE how it brings women in business together with a sense of collaboration over competition, creating a warm, inspiring business community.
I joined The Athena Network as a member in February 2014. As a nervous, totally inexperienced networker, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But the moment I walked in, I felt an incredible sense of belonging. (OK, I’d brought cake, which always helps!) That first meeting showed me the magic of connecting with local businesswomen and the power of women’s networking.
In the first few months, the amazing women in my “home” group (Buckingham), my Regional Director, and other members across the network helped me redefine, rebrand and officially launch my business. Their advice, experience, and support were pivotal to my growth and to the businesswoman I am today. I will always treasure that experience.
Over time, my confidence grew beyond what I could have imagined. From the woman who nervously presented her first “monthly minute,” to the woman who can now chair meetings with flair and enthusiasm – I discovered I wanted more for myself and for the women I met. I wanted to be their biggest cheerleader.
In June 2016, I became a Regional Director, and I LOVE it! I get to meet and support bold, ambitious across the Tring & Aylesbury region covering Aylesbury, Tring, Berkhamsted, Wendover, Great Missenden, Aston Clinton, Princes Risborough, Haddenham and surrounding areas. Every day I support brilliant local businesswomen, helping them grow, connect, and achieve their dreams. Honestly, I think I have the best “job” in the world!
GROUP INFORMATION
I proudly manage the Tring and Aylesbury Vale territory and its groups.
The Aylesbury Tuesday, Aylesbury Thursday and Tring groups are in the Tring and Aylesbury Vale region
All of them are vibrant, supportive groups where you can be assured of a warm welcome and excellent business connections. They all offer you the opportunity to meet local business women and step out of the isolation so many female entrepreneurs can feel.
All of the members pride themselves on the strategic connections that they have created, collaborating with each other to create new projects and services.
Tring meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 12 – 2pm (excluding August & December).
Aylesbury Tuesday meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 12 – 2pm (excluding August & December).
Aylesbury Thursday meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 12 – 2pm (excluding August & December).

If you would prefer a payment plan that can be arranged* *NOTE: You are committing to a 12-month membership. Membership of The Athena Network will give you access to all of our membership benefits including PASS+ which means that you can currently attend 150+ meetings (at no additional cost), Cappuccino Connections (informal networking), an extensive training portfolio, large national events quarterly and all the connections within our network.UNLIMITED ACCESS TO ALL OF OUR MEETINGS
PASS+ IS YOUR GATEWAY TO ALL OF OUR MEETINGS
PASS+ gives you FREE access to an Athena meeting, there are no additional fees to be paid and this is another benefit of membership. You are encouraged to visit as many other meetings as you have time for (please ensure that you have sufficient time to follow up from your meetings).
We have launched in Singapore and more International group launches are planned. What that means is you will also have access to those meetings. You could say that we have meetings 24/7. If the time zones work for you then your options are UNLIMITED.
ALL of this is included in your annual membership. Our usual meeting guidelines apply, which means there will be no professional clashes at the meetings, and the Regional Director/Ambassador will manage the dynamics of the mix of industries to ensure that everyone attending has an outstanding experience.
